We’re searching for an experienced Product Owner for our travel products to join our team and help take our customer-focused services to new heights. As an ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly technical field, such as software development, engineering, or ideally fintech. Your ability to evaluate and analyze complex information is second to none, and you have a natural desire to help people understand things that are hard to understand.

Responsibilities
  • Owns and manages the product backlog and clearly expresses Product Backlog items;
  • Ensures that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Development Team will work on next, as well as showing sufficient items and provisional priorities for the next few releases;
  • Prioritizes items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and missions under the set priorities, in collaboration with Product Managers, the development team, and other stakeholders;
  • Makes decisions and priority visible in the content and ordering of the Product backlog;
  • Works with product managers and stakeholders to create a clear definition of what is needed and it is clearly translated into final requirements for the development team;
  • Validates requirements in the form of user stories coming from stakeholders and where necessary reject requirements that do not have proper justification, urgency, or feasibility and do not contribute value to the product;
  • Ensures the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed;
  • Is the Product Expert in his or her field, and is the main source of information along with Product managers for the wider company on that product;
  • Ensures that the stakeholder submitter formally accepts the work of the development team, prior to release on Production
  • Together with the team performs demos and training sessions on his or her products, and new features to stakeholders and wider audiences if required;
  • Ensures that adequate and fully up-to-date product documentation, and product information is always available;
  • Ensures his or her knowledge of their assigned product(s) is up to date and complete. Is aware of our competition’s product offering, new trends, and developments;
  • Comply with all internal regulations, procedures, and policies and ISO management system.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of hands-on business experience as a Product Owner
  • Technical knowledge and skill to speak authoritatively on the technical aspects of payment method integrations
  • Understanding of payment gateways flows and technologies within the fintech industry would be considered a strong advantage
  • Is comfortable communicating with business stakeholders, Engineering, UX, and Analytics teams at all levels
  • Can-do attitude and enthusiasm to overcome obstacles and get the job done, even if it means solving problems outside of your dened role
  • Procient in written and spoken English
  • Education in BA/BS related field - Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with different aspects of payment provider integrations: card payment processing, card acquirers, online banking, and alternative payment methods.
