We are currently looking for an Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Engineering team in Bulgaria.

Your role will encompass:

  • Supervision of the installation and assembly of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards
  • Conducting studies and understanding of each project’s design provided by the engineering headquarters. Crosschecking and finding possible errors and thus report them to the Lead Mechanical Engineer
  • Reporting daily to the Lead Mechanical Engineer regarding the construction progress, quality control and the materials received
  • Overviews of each subcontractor’s installation work quality and the precision to the design and thus reporting to the Construction Manager with evidence every time there is a quality breach.
  • Monitoring of the stock of construction materials: Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of required materials, equipment, and spare parts necessary for mechanical systems
  • Site Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to ensure that mechanical systems are being installed correctly, and to identify and address any issues or deviations from the project plans.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure that all mechanical systems meet the project specifications.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for the construction team and other personnel.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including project reports, drawings, schedules, and as-built documents for mechanical systems. Communicates design changes and updates to the subcontractors and ensures compliance.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with civil engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that mechanical systems align with the overall project design and schedule.
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to site personnel and contractors to ensure proper operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Previous construction experience on site is mandatory
  • Experience in energy projects is considered an advantage
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD software
  • Fluent English and native Bulgarian
  • Flexibility to relocate to the project site
  • Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in team
  • Work under pressure
