Join us as we continue our integration journey! In January 2024, we intend to be fully integrated in Bulgaria and Ireland; transitioning away from a shared service approach to Human Resources. This role will be the chance for you to join UKG’s Global People Team working on-site as the Sr. Human Resources Generalist for UKG Varna, Bulgaria (previously Immedis). You will have ready partners around the globe from which to draw expertise and support!

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Professional looking to own end-to-end Employee Relations activities while also being an active business partner supporting strategic and practical projects. You will be the local on-site partner leading both business leaders and employees through change. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a bias towards action who finds gaps and influences actions to close while ensuring relevant stakeholders are aligned.

This role has a hybrid working model office/home where we would like to welcome you in our Varna office for three or more days each week.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with local business leaders to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Serve as the go-to Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Employee Relations within the UKG Bulgaria operation offering guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage complex HR projects and change management initiatives.
  • Other duties which the Company may assign you from time to time.
  • Ensure HR services are delivered in compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Provide support to managers and leaders to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity, engagement, and retention.
  • Collaborate with other members of the HR team to design and implement employee processes and experiences.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partnering with the legal department as needed / required.
  • Build trusted relationship with senior in-country stakeholders and leaders in the business.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience as an HR Manager and/or Employee Relations Manager, Business Partner, or in a similar strategic role.
  • Bi-lingual English and Bulgarian - written and spoken. Fluency in English is essential.
  • Expert knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability and interest to build relationships at all levels and across countries and functions.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage HR data to inform decision-making.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex HR projects and change management initiatives.
  • Prior experience working with mergers, acquisitions and transitions is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10%.
