Job Description
Anakatech is an innovative technology company focused on the development of its iGaming Platform and unique variety of soft games both web and mobile-based. The company is B2B oriented and accomplishes the whole cycle, from the development of games to the support of our partners amp; end-users. With the rapid expansion of our Bulgarian office, we are looking for a highly-motivated person to join our team as an Anti-money Laundering Officer.
You must be an experienced compliance professional who has worked in the fields of compliance and money-laundering prevention and has taken care of various EU regulatory regimes (Malta, Spain, and/or the UK). You will be required to monitor our Compliance strategy on a group level, together with our AML/CFT Policy, customer onboarding policies and procedures, and KYC tool. The ideal person must have the ability to exert effective influence over AML/CFT measures, policies, controls, and procedures. The MLRO will be able to communicate freely and directly with the Board of Directors, when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out new customer and ongoing customer due diligence checks while following the company's AML/CFT processes and operational procedures including record-keeping and documentation procedures (KYC)
- Reviewing and investigating customer information using internal systems, publicly-available information, and other data to identify and document risks / concerns; conducting an assessment to determine whether knowledge or suspicion of ML/FT subsists or whether a person may have been, is or may be connected with ML/FT
- Compiling reports from investigations carried out for internal escalation, making suggestions on how to address and mitigate identified risks as appropriate
- Ensure that all the Company’s employees are adequately trained in money laundering, terrorist finance prevention and RG, that the standards and scope of the training are appropriate, and that appropriate training records are kept
- Is the main point of contact in relation to AML/CFT and RG cases - triggered by internal monitoring tools or escalated by related departments facing customer interactions
- Monitoring player activity and proactively interacting with players
- Compiling RG profiles on player accounts
- Creating and improving company RG-routine processes
- Record keeping for reporting purposes
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years working with AML/CDD/KYC and Responsible gambling
- Good knowledge and understanding of AML/CDD and RG best practices, preferably specifically relating to B2C operations in the iGaming industry
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent document control and writing skills
- Strong research skills
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standards
- Ability to multi-task and take proactive initiative
- Keen eye for detail and the ability to look at data objectively.
